About Us
NOVA Fluid Mechanics (NOVA) has recently taken over the Wind Engineering business of BMT Fluid Mechanics, retaining wind engineering staff and IP, and importantly the technical expertise thereof. We are proud to be able to draw on a wealth of experience derived from nearly three quarters of a century of wind tunnel testing gained with one of the largest and best-instrumented boundary-layer wind tunnel facilities in the world.
With its roots in the Aerodynamics Division of the National Physical Laboratory, NOVA has a rich heritage dating back to the 1940s – the pioneering days of wind engineering, industrial aerodynamics and offshore research. Since then the Company has developed through continuous investment in research, development and innovation of advanced technologies and the application of wind engineering techniques to commercial projects. The Company is internationally recognised as a leading wind engineering consultancy providing wind tunnel testing and specialist consultancy services to the Civil Construction, Offshore and Renewables industries based on world leading expertise in fluid/structure interactions, using state-of-the-art capabilities for physical (wind tunnel) modelling.
The Company is headquartered in London (United Kingdom) with regional offices in Italy and France.
